Dan: I love your idea for the movement with nature assignment. The only thing I would mention is that you don't need to confine yourself to a car to shoot these images. You could play with altering focal length while shooting/panning/etc.. Just a thought.
Ambrea: I'm definitely moved by your family assignment, however being in the documentary class with you, I've already seen this work. I think you could transfer the same style of documentary work to a new assigment. Or, if you wanted to stick with your family, maybe focus in one one particular aspect instead of a broad view, which can be too much.
Taylor: You are a great portrait photographer. Now, what can you do to bring this to the next level? Well, it's already been brought up in class but I think you need to shoot some complete strangers. It will be difficult at first, but I know you can do it. Focus on a variety of ages and really try to show the personality of these people. If you can mix this with your personal style, you're well on your way to getting those magazine jobs!
Chris: I've been doing a little research on your website and I think I see where you are going with those sports promos. It can definitely work, but you've gotta pull many things together to get the result you want. Somehow these promos need to be consistent and yet diverse for each athlete. Your knowledge of lighting looks great, but you have to focus on the DETAILS. Sensor spots, photoshop selections that are lacking, and spreads containing some of the almost exact same images can't be enough for you! You need to take it to the next level and achieve technical perfection!
Becca: You have always been good at getting the shot that creates emotion in the viewer and spurs action. I think that your plans for the future are excellent and don't let anything stop you from getting there. As far as this assignment goes, how about you find a project to work on that can become a reason for the community to come together. I don't doubt you could do it at all. Be bold! Get the shots you want no matter what it takes.
Imani: Your project comparing people to instruments was very well put together. It had a great end result and I can tell you put time and thought into it. Now what's next from you? WHAT IF you did another comparison project. I'd love to see something like the instruments but with changed variables. Maybe people and their pets? Parents and children? Use your imagination! (Disney should have helped you with this right?!)
